Robert Bortuzzo cross-checks Martin St. Louis for no reason

So, Rick Nash cross-checked him.

The first period of Game 2 between the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins featured 12 penalty minutes. Not exactly the smoothest period of playoff hockey, but not surprising, considering how undisciplined both teams were on Sunday.

Take, for instance, the scene that Penguins defenseman Robert Bortuzzo caused late in the period. When Rangers winger Martin St. Louis skated into New York's zone offsides, Bortuzzo inexplicably decided to violently cross-check him.

And then Rick Nash responded in kind.

Two cross-checks, two penalties and both players acted like they were reenacting the Zapruder film. Playoff hockey!
