NHL schedule 2015: Rangers have a chance to regain control over rival Bruins
New York begins its season series with Boston on Thursday.

The Bruins swept the Rangers last season, winning all three of their matchups with their rival for the first time since 1983. Part of New York’s problem is an inability to score when offense is needed most. Of the last 27 games between the two clubs, 21 have been decided by one goal. The way the Rangers are flying high on offense these days, you have to expect that trend to get bucked when the two play on Thursday.
Elsewhere, the Montreal Canadiens will try to continue where they left off against the Ottawa Senators. Montreal scored three power play goals in a 3-2 win in Columbus on Wednesday, one of the few times recently when the Habs have found success on the man advantage. Whether they can duplicate that production on the second half of a back-to-back remains to be seen.
While those games will headline schedule, there will be plenty of action going on around the league. A total of 20 teams will be on the ice on Thursday
