Between firing their head coach, Phil Kessel feuding with media members and an embarrassing 6-2 loss to Washington on Wednesday, the Maple Leafs were probably hoping for a respite against the Blue Jackets on Friday night.

Instead, they got Dion Phaneuf blowing a tire and allowing a Ryan Johansen breakaway goal in the first few minutes of the game.
