Islanders defenseman shoots the puck into his own net

New York Islanders defenseman Marek Zidlicky has been in the NHL for over a decade. He's also known as an offensive-minded defenseman. So you'd think he'd know which puck to not shoot the puck at.

Apparently not. The veteran defenseman gave the visiting Nashville Predators an early 1-0 lead on Thursday with an own goal he'd probably like to have back.

He obviously didn’t do it on purpose, but he somehow managed to make it look like he intentionally banked it into his own net.

That’s technically his second goal as an Islander. So. Congratulations?
