NHL Thursday: Price outduels Lundqvist as the Habs win 3-0

The sport of hockey is a game of finesse, a game of speed and skill that rules over a dominion of ice where players strap knives onto their feet for fun. Hockey, by definition, is strange. But it just got a bit weirder.

Clearly, Price hasn’t forgotten Kreider’s hit and decided to serve out some justice of his own. Take a seat, Kreider.

Nesterov got five minutes for boarding and a game misconduct. One has to wonder if the Department of Player Safety will throw more than that at him. McKenzie was injured on the play and required assistance getting off the ice, as well.

His second goal of the evening put the home team up 2-0 in the second period. The Buffalo water bottle, directly in the sights of a goal-hungry Jagr, took the full brunt of the blow.

The water bottle stood no chance as Jagr’s laser of a shot took it out of the game permanently.

It was Forsberg’s second of the season, giving the Predators a 2-0 lead they would quickly let slip away.

Can’t really fault them though for this pretty well-screened goal.

He obviously didn’t do it on purpose, but he somehow managed to make it look like he intentionally banked it into his own net.
