The NHL may have prohibited it in the shootout, but the spin-o-rama is still alive and well after Capitals' defenseman John Carlson used some good old-fashioned trickery to put Washington up 2-0 in the second period over the visiting Chicago Blackhawks. The goal is No. 74's first of the season, and a good one at that for the 25-year-old.
Capitals defenseman nets neat spin-o-rama goal
John Carlson has mad skills

The Blackhawks look to be having trouble with their second Metropolitan Division opponent in as many nights. The reigning Stanley Cup champions were held goalless by the Philadelphia Flyers Wednesday night 3-0 after Michal Neuvirth's second shutout of the season.
Can’t really fault them though for this pretty well-screened goal.
