One of the Winnipeg Jets' most notable prospects might be riding the pine for a long time in junior hockey after making one of the more egregious hits to the head you'll ever see on Thursday.
Jets prospect Brendan Lemieux suspended indefinitely after hit to the head
Claude Lemieux’s son did not improve his father’s legacy on Thursday.

Brendan Lemieux, a forward for the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League, has been suspended indefinitely by the OHL after landing a hit to the head of Owen Sound Attack forward Keenan Reynolds that knocked the latter out of the game.
You can see the play unfold in the video below, as Reynolds kept his head down and Lemieux telegraphed his hit from more than a few strides away.

— Craig Ripley (@Craig_Ripley) October 16, 2015 It was late, it was high and he left his skates. Probably not a hard suspension decision for the OHL to make. This is especially notable because Brendan is the son of Claude Lemieux, one of the most infamous agitators in NHL history. Claude once famously bit a player's finger, landed a hit on Kris Draper that ignited the legendary Avalanche-Red Wings rivalry of the late '90s and instigated the famous brawl between the two clubs in 1997.
We’re not saying Brendan is following in his father’s footsteps, but this also won’t help his cause in trying to shake those comparisons for the rest of his career.
