Alexander Edler almost got to clean up his own mess on Friday when the mess suddenly exploded on him.
Blues score excellent tic-tac-toe goal after forcing turnover
Alex Edler quickly regretted his cross-ice pass.

The Vancouver Canucks defenseman tried to exit his own zone early in the second period against the St. Louis Blues, but his pass was intercepted by Vladimir Tarasenko at center ice and sent back the other way to Paul Stastny.
To his credit, Edler reversed course and gave chase fairly well. He was just a few strides away from covering his own mistake when Stastny switched to his backhand and a game of tic-tac-toe broke out between the Blues.
