Johnny Oduya floats a puck from the blue line past Marc-Andre Fleury

Johnny Oduya clearly used mind control on this puck.

Marc-Andre Fleury is no stranger to letting in strange goals. Most of those have happened in the playoffs, but Thursday night vs. the Dallas Stars, another fluky goal found its way past the Pittsburgh Penguins' netminder.

It started off a failed clear by the home team, as the Penguins were unable to get the puck out of their own zone thanks to an aggressive Dallas forecheck. As the Stars were cycling the zone with the puck, defenseman Johnny Oduya found himself with the puck at the blue line and let go a seemingly harmless shot towards the net.

Then this happened.

It’s hard to see from that angle, but the puck clearly arcs downwards, just missing the sticks of two Stars that would have overturned the goal on a high stick if they touched it, and just clears the crossbar over Fleury’s shoulder. Looks more like something you’d see in a baseball game than in hockey.
