Canadiens score on a confused Sabres defender with tic-tac-toe passes

He had no chance.

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

The Montreal Canadiens are off to a perfect 7-0 start to the NHL season, and it's finally been revealed why: They're cheating.

Yes, you read that correctly. The Canadiens are cheating. They went straight into settings from the main menu and changed their "User Passing Speed" settings all the way to the maximum level. We watched them do it. At least, that's what it looked like when they absolutely bamboozled a Buffalo Sabres defender on a 2-on-1 breakaway on Friday.

See? The Sabres should unplug Montreal’s controller until the Habs promise to reset their passing skills to default.
