Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara is a hard man to hit, much less ram into the end boards on a whim. And yet that's exactly what landed New York Islanders winger Cal Clutterbuck in the penalty box on Friday.
Zdeno Chara gets slammed head-first into the boards by Islanders player
Cal Clutterbuck was penalized for the infraction.

As you might expect, it took two people to make the boarding happen on Chara. The Bruins captain was already falling like an ancient redwood tree when Clutterbuck came in late to finish the job.
Clutterbuck led with his shoulder to Chara’s head, slamming it into the boards. The referees saw the play clearly and sent Clutterbuck to the box for two minutes. Chara was not happy about any of it.
