Down by a goal, Edmonton Oilers mounted a last-minute assault on the Los Angeles Kings that came within inches of sending the game to overtime. Instead, goalie Jonathan Quick made the save of the season so far to preserve the 3-2 win for L.A.

The Oilers were pressuring the Kings in the offensive zone with a handful of seconds left when Edmonton super rookie Connor McDavid found the puck on his backhand in front of a wide open Kings net. McDavid's shot looked like it was a certain goal but Quick's glove appeared out of nowhere to snatch it back with five seconds on the clock.
To nobody’s surprise, the play was reviewed back in Toronto. The call on the ice was no goal, but video evidence showed that the puck might have fully crossed the line as Quick’s glove retreated further into the net.
