Blues defenseman banks shot off the boards and goalie to score

Poor Ducks.

Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

Nothing is going right for the Ducks this season. Anaheim had just one win heading into Thursday night and sat dead last in the Western Conference. They can't score to save their lives, and bad luck follows them at home and on the road. Coach Bruce Boudreau's job is probably in danger.

You get the picture. It's bad. But in case you don't fully understand their plight yet, please take this goal they gave up on Thursday in St. Louis into consideration. Blues defenseman Colton Parayko released a shot from the blue line that ricocheted off the end boards, off Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen and into the Anaheim net.

It’s the kind of unbelievably awful luck the Ducks are saddled with these days. If that ends up being the goal that ends Boudreau’s reign in Anaheim, then he never had a chance anyway.
