Don’t make Claude Giroux angry or he’ll snap his stick in half

So much rage contained behind that ginger facade.

Derik Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

To say things are going bad for the Philadelphia Flyers right now is probably an understatement. The Flyers have lost six of their last seven, and as of the third period, are down 4-0 to the lowly Colorado Avalanche. It's not a good time in Philadelphia, and captain Claude Giroux is not happy.

Giroux himself hasn’t had too bad of a season, putting up nine points in 14 games. The team as a whole, however, is struggling, and so is linemate Jake Voracek, who still has no goals for the Flyers to start the year.

It’s understandable then that Giroux would take his frustrations out on a poor hockey stick, snapping it in half over the boards after Colorado’s fourth goal of the night.

The hockey stick never stood a chance.
