It's not unheard of to score a goal from center ice in hockey, but it's certainly embarrassing when it happens. San Jose Sharks netminder Alex Stalock is the latest victim of the cringe-worthy mistake, and it might have cost his team a chance at a comeback.
Johnny Boychuk just scored a goal from the neutral zone
Alex Stalock really, really wants this one back.

Boychuk goal had a coach's challenge for offside on the far wall. Deemed onside after review. Here's another look pic.twitter.com/YOq2a84uY8
— Stephanie (@myregularface) November 11, 2015 The goal was originally reviewed for an offside call, but it stood with no evidence to support the challenge. The puck seems to skip along the ice on its way toward Stalock and with the netminder out of place, it turns into an easy goal for Boychuk in a typical dump-and-chase situation.
