The Maple Leafs gave up a goal and took out their anger on water bottles

Inanimate objects, beware.

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

By all accounts, the Toronto Maple Leafs played an excellent first period against the New York Rangers on Sunday. They took a lead, kept up the pressure and stifled the Rangers' attack.

They could only go downhill from there. Toronto struggled to start the second and gave up an easy four-on-two breakaway goal to Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh. The Leafs did not handle their frustration well.

They certainly didn’t do a good job of bottling up their anger, huh?
