Sticking with the play can be beneficial after all, even when you don't have the puck. The always opportunistic Bobby Ryan gave the Ottawa Senators life late in the third period, tying their game against Detroit, 3-3, after capitalizing on a turnover.

— Stephanie (@myregularface) November 17, 2015 Luke Glendening is the offending forward in question who can't corral a bouncing pass from near the boards. Ryan trails Glendening the whole time on the forecheck and pounces on the missed opportunity, taking the puck on the backhand while splitting the Wings players through the slot. Ryan goes forehand-backhand on Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard for the tying score that would take the two teams into overtime.
