When the going gets tough for the Philadelphia Flyers, their captain Claude Giroux normally shows up to save the day. Monday night was no exception. After a poor start against the Vancouver Canucks that resulted in an early goal, Giroux did what he usually does by making a dazzling play to put Philadelphia back in the game.

Is there nothing Captain Claude can’t do?

Matt Bartkowski was Giroux's latest victim Monday. The defenseman tries to steer Giroux off the puck, but the Philadelphia captain slides out of Bartkowski's grasp for a mini-breakaway. Giroux then makes no mistakes, going forehand-backhand on Ryan Miller and lifting the puck over the goaltender's outstretched pad for the tying score.
