Dallas Stars forward Antoine Roussel slew foots Zac Rinaldo

Could a suspension be coming?

Dallas Stars forward Antoine Roussel is one of the NHL's new wave of agitators; players who can fight and rile up the other team but also play fairly good hockey. His reputation as a pest is cemented, but on Tuesday he might have crossed a line.

The Stars were tied with the Boston Bruins midway through the second period when Bruins winger Zac Rinaldo tried to get a handle on the puck near the blue line. With Rinaldo's back turned to him, Roussel skated in and slew footed him off his feet.

Roussel received two minutes in the penalty box for the play but nothing more. Rinaldo was unhurt. Whether the NHL Department of Player Safety takes another look remains to be seen, but it is worth noting that Roussel has a brief suspension history.
