Jimmy Hayes deflects a puck with his chest, and scores

This goal got Boston up early on the Capitals.

The Boston Bruins are on the road again on Thursday and are looking to keep their 5-0 record away from TD Garden perfect. Thanks to Jimmy Hayes' chest, the Bruins have a good head start early against the Washington Capitals.

With time winding down on their first power play of the evening, Brett Connolly tosses a puck towards the net from the bottom of the nearside circle, hoping for a deflection. Connolly's puck hits Hayes right above the logo and finds its way past Capitals netminder Braden Holtby's exposed side.

Not your normal route to scoring an opening goal, for sure.
