Anthony Duclair’s dominance against Anaheim continues with textbook slapshot goal

The rookie has your number, Anaheim.

Anthony Duclair must really love the Honda Center. The rookie’s last outing in the Anaheim Ducks’ home building back in October ended in a hat trick for the 20-year-old, and on Monday, the Coyote forward continued his dominance in Ducks territory.

On Anaheim’s third penalty of the evening, Duclair benefited from a behind-the-back tip pass from Oliver Ekman-Larsson to set up the play as it seemed the puck was exiting the offensive zone. The rookie spends little time winding up the big slapshot before rocketing it five-hole past Ducks netminder Frederik Andersen to cut Anaheim’s lead to 2-1 early in the second period.

With the goal, four of the rookie’s six goals this season have now come in two meetings against Anaheim, in 14 total games played.
