And it worked!


Detroit Red Wings winger Luke Glendening tried to defy this centuries-old logic on Monday in Buffalo. Led by Darren Helm, his line advanced up ice towards the offensive zone. Glendening got a little carried away with himself and headed offsides.
And then he nearly tore a damn groin trying to stay onsides.
And it worked! That’s kind of amazing. But there’s no doubt: that’s going to sting for a week.
