Jaromir Jagr cut by stick to the face, forgives guilty party with adorable head pat

A nice moment after a few anxious ones for Florida.

The Florida Panthers had a scary few minutes after star Jaromir Jagr took a high stick to the face that left him down on the ice and bleeding profusely from the mouth. Jagr took the full brunt of an accidental clip from Senators forward Alex Chiasson while the pair was jostling for position in front of Ottawa's net.

Jagr stayed down for a few moments while the trainers came to his aid, but he got up on his own before skating to the locker room for repairs. On the way there, Jagr took a second to pat the young Chiasson on the head in a show of forgiveness for the incidental play that happened in the heat of the moment.

The 43-year-old forward came back onto the ice minutes later uninjured to applause from the home Florida crowd. And then he posted this scary photo on Twitter. VAMPIRE JAGR.
