You can really never count out the kids on the Calgary Flames. Almost every time the Flames find themselves in a hole, like clockwork, Calgary is able to climb back either through pure skill or some strange wizardry that comes from the city in Alberta. The magic was on display again Sunday evening, as the Flames were able to come back from a two-goal deficit to take a 4-3 lead into the third period against the Oilers.
Flames special teams contributes two goals to tie Oilers in the second
The Calgary Comeback kids are at it again.

A shorthanded goal cut Edmonton’s lead to 3-2 at 12:52 of the second period on a great stick with it effort play from Matt Stajan. When Markus Granlund’s shot wouldn’t go, Stajan got more than a fair number of tries at the puck in front before slamming it home.
From there, the Flames power play did the rest of the work on a goal from Mark Giordano four minutes later, a howling slap shot that beat goaltender Anders Nilsson clean off the stick.
The Flames took the lead from Edmonton thanks to Johnny Gaudreau’s goal -- his second of the night -- with just 32 seconds left in the second period.
