It's bad enough giving up a goal on the first shot of the game, but to give it up to noted pest Tom Wilson who is more well known for his hits than his goal scoring ability is quite a bad way to start any game. The Canadiens, missing elite netminder Carey Price, got in a 1-0 hole early on Wilson's second goal of the year and his second in as many games after some bad defensive coverage.

— Stephanie (@myregularface) December 4, 2015 A missed clear gave Brooks Laich the time and space to pass to Wilson, who quickly fired a wrist shot past the blocker of Mike Condon as the pair were left undefended in front of the Canadiens net. It's a hell of a shot by Wilson at point-blank range, but one Montreal could have avoided with better defensive work.
