As a pest, Steve Ott hasn't made a ton of trouble across the NHL over the course of his career. But even his detractors had to wince and feel sorry for the guy after his injury on Saturday.
Steve Ott does awkward, painful splits into boards after a missed check
NOPE.

The St. Louis Blues forward tried to throw a check on Toronto Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf late in the first period. But he missed, tripped and slid awkwardly into the boards. It did not look good.
And it wasn’t easy to watch.
Ott was unable to make it to the locker room on his own, needed help walking from trainer. it hurts to watch pic.twitter.com/KbPEQXXzJ9
— Stephanie (@myregularface) December 6, 2015 OUCH. Ott tried to get up on his own, but once the pain set in he clearly had a hard time moving around. He was eventually given slow escort to the Blues’ locker room with his arms around two trainers. It’s hard to believe he’ll be back anytime soon.
Godspeed, sir.
