Claude Giroux sets up Flyers two-on-zero shorthanded goal

Just Giroux doing his thing, again.

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Not only does Claude Giroux score highlight-reel goals, he's also the perfect set-up man. Flyers teammate Pierre-Edouard Bellemare was the latest player in orange and black to benefit from Giroux's set-up mastery, helping Philadelphia tie an early Islanders lead.

The pair found themselves behind the Islanders attacking offense on a penalty kill and they made the most of their speed on a rare two-on-zero breakaway. Giroux and Bellemare traded passes before the Flyers captain fired off a last-second feed that the Frenchman tipped in past the leg of goaltender Jaroslav Halak for the tying 1-1 score.

Philadelphia then conceded the go-ahead goal just moments later on the original Islanders power play they scored shorthanded on.
