Rookie Dylan Larkin’s assist threads the needle between the legs of defender

This kid just does it all.

Detroit Red Wings rookie sensation Dylan Larkin didn't get a goal on this play, but his pass deserves definite recognition. Larkin as of late has been a puck magnet for Detroit, seemingly making plays every time he's anywhere near it. Tuesday night was no exception, as the rookie set up Henrik Zetterberg's tying goal with a laser of a pass.

Clearly not bothered by the Capitals coverage, Larkin pulled the trigger on a cross-ice saucer pass, hitting Zetterberg in stride for the easy tap-in goal. Larkin's pass threaded the needle between the Washington defender's legs, barely missing the skate of one of his own players, who was also looking for the deflection. Luckily for the Red Wings, Larkin's pass found its mark and Zetterberg put it home on one of the more perfectly timed goals we'll see this year.
