An entertaining night for the Dallas Stars turned ugly when Tyler Seguin had to leave the game after a questionable hit from Florida Panthers defenseman Dmitri Kulikov.
Tyler Seguin injured by dangerous clipping hit from Dmitri Kulikov
The Dallas Stars just lost their best player to a dirty hit.

The hit in question came in the third period with the Panthers down, 2-0. As Seguin carried the puck into the attacking zone, Kulikov bent down and clipped him at the knees.
Seguin could barely put any weight on his leg, and gingerly left for the locker room. His status is unknown. Kulikov got five minutes for clipping and an ejection for the hit. Whether he faces any further discipline remains to be seen.
Seguin is among the NHL’s leaders in scoring this year with 29 goals and 59 points, and a serious injury for him could hurt the Stars’ chances at making the playoffs.
