On Sunday, one trip west will begin while the other will end.
NHL schedule 2015: Lightning begin West Coast trip while Capitals end theirs in Anaheim
California hosts the two biggest games on Sunday.

The California road trip has been somewhat of a mixed bag for the Washington Capitals. After a win in San Jose and a loss in Los Angeles, the Caps head further south for their final Golden State stop in Anaheim. The good news for Washington is that the Ducks are coming off their worst road trip of the season: an eastern swing that they went 2-3 on. They managed to salvage the trip with a win in Carolina on Saturday, but come home to face a much tougher Capitals squad on short rest.
As Washington's California trip ends, the Lightning's trip will begin. Tampa Bay's tour of the Golden State starts with a game against the San Jose Sharks. After leading the Eastern Conference for a month, the Bolts are showing signs of slowing down with losses in four of their last six games. Perhaps a road trip is what they need to get their legs back under them.
