Two of the NHL’s hottest teams will get to blaze in front of national audiences on opposite coasts on Wednesday.

The Chicago Blackhawks have somehow been on a tear since losing Patrick Kane. They'll test their mettle at Madison Square Garden against the equally hot New York Rangers. Chicago is fresh off a 4-1 win over the New York Islanders, one of the Eastern Conference's best contenders this season.

Meanwhile, the Rangers are in the middle of a five-game win streak after eking out a 2-1 win against the Florida Panthers on Sunday. Their matchup will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network.

Across the country, the Los Angeles Kings put their recent strong run of play on the line against divisional rival Anaheim. After dropping three straight, the Kings have rattled off wins in five of their last seven games. The last time they hit the road, they outscored opponents, 9-2, in two games.

Their opponents on Wednesday aren't pushovers, however. The Ducks ascended to first place in the Western Conference with a win against the Predators on Sunday, and will have two full days of rest behind them as they host the defending champions.
