NHL playoffs 2015 schedule: Stanley Cup chase begins with four games Wednesday

Four games on the opening night of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Here’s the schedule.

The 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs begin Wednesday night, April 15, with four games.

We kick off in the Eastern Conference with two 7 p.m. ET games. The surging Ottawa Senators will follow Andrew Hammond into Bell Centre in Montreal, where Carey Price and the Canadiens will try to slow them down. Will they have leading scorer Max Pacioretty back in the lineup? We might not know until game time.

South of the border in the nation's capital, the Washington Capitals host the New York Islanders in Game 1 of their first-round series, also at 7 p.m. Both John Tavares of the Isles and Alex Ovechkin of the Caps are in the Hart Trophy discussion this year.

At 8:30 p.m., the Western Conference playoffs get underway with Game 1 between the Nashville Predators and Chicago Blackhawks at Bridgestone Arena in the Music City. Patrick Kane will be in the lineup for the Blackhawks, cleared to play after initially expecting to miss this first round with injury.

The nightcap is in Vancouver at 10 p.m. as western Canadian rivals, the Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames, kick off Game 1 of their series at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. The Flames are making their first playoff appearance since 2008-09, and they haven't advanced beyond Round 1 since the 2003-04 season, when they lost in the Cup Finals to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
