Flyers score with 2.1 seconds left to squash crazy Islanders comeback

What a wacky finish.

Russell LaBounty-USA TODAY Sports

In the span of ten minutes on Tuesday, the New York Islanders proved why they're not the most invincible 100-point team this season.

The Islanders trailed the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-1, with eleven minutes left in the third period before mounting an impressive comeback to make it a two-goal game. With little over a minute left, Johnny Boychuk scored to bring them within one and John Tavares capped a great night by setting up the game-tying goal with 28 seconds remaining in the game.

All they had to do at this point was coast to overtime. But then goalie Jaroslav Halak got caught daydreaming.

So much for that comeback.
