Rangers vs. Capitals 2015: Time, TV schedule and live stream for NHL playoffs

Washington will try to advance once more.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

It's been 17 years since the Washington Capitals reached the Eastern Conference Finals, so it's no surprise they've been forced to wait a little longer to finally end that streak this season.

Up 3-2 in their series with the New York Rangers, the Capitals will try once again to eliminate the Presidents' Trophy winners in Game 6 on Sunday. New York took Game 5 with a 2-1 comeback win in overtime, but the Capitals are undefeated after a loss in this postseason so far.

A big part of that rebound skill is due to their goaltending. Braden Holtby has been one of the best players in the postseason regardless of position, sporting a 1.51 goaltending average and a .951 save percentage in 11 playoff games.

The only problem is that his Rangers counterpart is nearly unbeatable in playoff elimination games. In the last 15 times the Rangers were on the brink, Henrik Lundqvist has gone 12-3 with a 1.33 GAA and a .957 SV%.
