Steven Stamkos ends drought with beautiful breakaway goal in Game 2

Tampa Bay’s captain finally got his first playoff goal.

It's almost inconceivable that Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos entered Game 2 of the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs without a goal. Yet second best scorer in the NHL this season found himself mired in the worst drought of his career.

That ended emphatically on Sunday when Stamkos split two Montreal Canadiens defenders and undressed Hart Trophy nominee Carey Price for his first goal of the playoffs. It was a beauty.
