Corey Crawford robs Wild with two fantastic pad saves

Crawford is the reason the game wasn’t tied through two periods.

Any lingering doubts the Chicago Blackhawks might have about Corey Crawford manning their net seem to be evaporating the longer he plays in the second round.

After a middling first round series, the Blackhawks goalie put on a show in the first half of Game 2 against the Minnesota Wild. Shortly after the Blackhawks scored the first goal of the game, the Wild roared back with two stellar chances.

Crawford answered both. First, this pad stop on the doorstep on Zach Parise.

That was followed quickly by an even better save on a breakaway Kyle Brodziak chance.

Thanks to Crawford, the Blackhawks were nursing a 2-0 lead instead of a tie heading into the third period of Game 2.
