A shutout victory for Braden Holtby in Game 3 gave the Washington Capitals a lead in their Eastern Conference semifinals series against the New York Rangers, and he'll look to lead the team to a commanding 3-1 lead on Wednesday night at the Verizon Center.

The Rangers will look to avenge a Game 3 loss and even the series with the Capitals.
The first three games of the series were all decided by one goal with defense leading the way -- there have been only nine goals between the two teams in the series. While Holtby has handled goalie duties for the Capitals throughout the postseason, the Rangers will again rely on Henrik Lundqvist to keep the scoring at a minimum.
Lundqvist managed to stop 21 of 22 shots by the Capitals in Game 3, but a lack of offensive production led to a 1-0 loss for the Rangers. The team's top offensive threat, Rick Nash, has just one goal in the postseason after scoring a team-leading 42 times in the regular season.
The Rangers scored the third-most goals in the NHL during the regular season, but if they can’t rediscover their offense, they could find themselves in a deep hole when they head back to New York for Game 5.
