Another family is getting a puppy because a NHL player scored a goal

The NHL’s latest trend is here.

Twice in two days, players have been asked to score goals for reasons other than just putting points on the scoreboard. Bobby Ryan of the Ottawa Senators started the trend on Sunday and now, it's Cam Atkinson's turn: score a goal and win a family a puppy.

What seemed to be another harmless sign asking for a player to score -- on this girl’s birthday no less -- became an actuality as once again, the player in question delivered.

And Atkinson did not once, but twice for the Blue Jackets.

Seriously, though, does she get two puppies now that Atkinson has both of the Blue Jackets goals against the Canadiens? You can't just leave us hanging here!

Update: Atkinson scored a hat trick in the game. DOES THAT MEAN SHE GETS THREE PUPPIES? THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW!
