This will be one Jonathan Bernier will want back.
This Ducks netminder forgot how to play goalie on this bizarre Penguins goal
Even we’re not sure what the Ducks’ netminder was thinking.
What should have been a routine play around the boards turned into a disaster for the new Ducks goaltender. Instead of handling a clean puck near his own net, Bernier was unable to close off the angle as the puck was poked between his legs out to the front of the net.

Conor Sheary eventually was the last one to get a stick on the puck, but not before Bernier’s halfhearted attempt to cover while three Ducks stood around in the blue paint as the puck was hit into the net.
Not the kind of coverage you want to have against the reigning Stanley Cup champs.
