The Islanders scored the easiest goal in NHL history after 2 Bruins collided behind the net

This is ... bad.

Communication between goaltenders and their players on the ice is pretty key, one would think. In a fast-paced sport like hockey, the need to be vocal about your movements around your goaltender is essential for making sure accidents like this one between Tuukka Rask and Brad Marchand don’t happen.

Early in a contest between the Bruins and Islanders, Marchand and Rask found themselves in a state of confusion about who was going to get the puck behind the net. As you can guess, it didn’t end well.

Cue the circus music, ladies and gentlemen. As Marchand fell over Rask, Anders Lee swooped in to take the puck and deposit it in the open net for an early 1-0 Islanders lead.

The Bruins, and especially Rask and Marchand, would love to get a mulligan on that one.
