The Hartford Whalers may be gone — to Carolina that is — but they’re not forgotten. Whalers fans are a rare sight in the NHL nowadays, but even though their team was lost to relocation in 1997 the team still maintains a cult following.
Someone recorded a Christmas organ cover of the Hartford Whalers’ theme song ‘Brass Bonanza’
Season’s greetings, Whalers fans!

A big reason is the theme song they used as their goal song, a jaunty tune titled “Brass Bonanza” that’s as iconic to the team as “Chelsea Dagger” is to the Blackhawks. The song composed by Jack Say still gets use as the goal song of the Connecticut Whale in the NWHL, but a professional team organist for the Boston Red Sox updated the tune for the holidays and it’s just as glorious.
Now you can spice up your holiday season playlist with this festive cover!
