There’s a reason Montreal Canadien fans call defenseman Shea Weber “Man Mountain.” Not only is his 6’4 frame intimidating — he hits ... well, he hits like a mountain.
Shea Weber hip checked an opponent into the next century
That hip check tho.

His latest prey? Vladislav Namestnikov. And oh boy, what a hit this is.
There was no call on the play, which frustrated Lightning fans. Weber’s hit could definitely be called boarding, especially since he got Namestnikov so far away from the boards. Yet there’s no chance for supplemental discipline here, despite how bad the impact of Namestnikov’s head on the glass looks.
Namestnikov did not play for the remainder of the third period after that hit six minutes into the final frame.
