The Washington Capitals squandered one opportunity to close out the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night on the road, but on Friday return home for Game 5, looking to advance past their first round Stanley Cup Playoff series.

Down 3-0 on Wednesday, the Flyers stayed alive with a 2-1 win in Game 4.
But with two home games in the last three, if it goes that far, the Capitals are still in the drivers seat in the series, every much the 120-point juggernaut and Stanley Cup favorite they were going into the series.
Alex Ovechkin, who led the NHL with 50 goals in the regular season, has three goals and an assist in the first four games of the series. But he was held scoreless in Game 4, with the one big difference the change in goal for the Flyers, with Michal Neuvirth making 31 saves in 32 shots to keep Philadelphia alive.
Steve Mason allowed 12 goals in the first three games for the Flyers in just 81 shots, an .852 save percentage.
“We have to start better, manage the puck better and put some traffic in there,” Ovechkin said after Game 4, per the Associated Press.
The Capitals are 2-9 when having the chance to close out a postseason series dating back to 2012, including blowing a 3-1 series lead against the New York Rangers in the second round in 2015.
