NHL playoffs 2016, Capitals vs. Penguins: Time, TV schedule and live stream

The most exciting series of the second round so far heads to Pittsburgh on Monday, as the Penguins host the Washington Capitals in Game 3. Puck drop is at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Scouting the Capitals

For the first time in recent memory, the Capitals were the inferior team in Game 2. The Capitals have been outshot 80-59 through the first two games and will have a change on their blue line in Game 3. With defenseman Brooks Orpik suspended three games for a hit on Penguins defenseman Olli Maatta, Dmitry Orlov will draw in after sitting out Game 2. Alex Ovechkin has yet to score in the series.

Scouting the Penguins

Sidney Crosby isn't faring much better, with a minus-three and no goals to speak of either. Evgeni Malkin has stepped up, leading the Penguins with nine points. Maatta isn't expected to play in Game 3, and either Justin Schultz or Derrick Pouliot could replace him in the lineup. Marc-Andre Fleury practiced again on Sunday but will likely sit out another game.
