The St. Louis Blues and San Jose Sharks sure know how to check, but they both might have taken it a bit too far in the beginning of Game 3 of the Western Conference finals.
Blues and Sharks trade questionable hits early in Game 4
Luckily nobody was injured.

Blues forward Robby Fabbri and Sharks forward Tomas Hertl were both shaken up in the first period after taking hard hits along the boards. Hertl was the first victim, when Blues forward Troy Brouwer caught him with a high hit that went unpenalized.
At the very least, that could’ve been called for interference. But since it wasn’t, it meant that Brouwer was on the ice minutes later to score the first goal of the game for either side.
San Jose managed to get even in the questionable hits department by the end of the period. As Fabbri carried the puck up ice, Tommy Wingels caught him from behind with a hit that sent him careening into the bench boards.
Like Hertl, Fabbri was unhurt and the play went unpenalized.
