Scouting the Islanders
New York has now let leads slip away from them in two consecutive games. It was Nikita Kucherov who burned them in the third period both times. That's either disheartening or encouraging that the Islanders are a few bounces away from being two games up instead. They want to avoid a repeat of last season's playoff elimination game, where they only mustered 11 shots on goal against the Capitals in a first round Game 7.
Scouting the Lightning
It sounds like coach Jon Cooper will roll with seven defensemen again in Game 5. Injured defender Anton Stralman is getting closer to a return, but it won't be on Sunday. The same can be said for forwards Steven Stamkos and J.T. Brown, who will probably miss the rest of the series at least.
