Two days after an exciting Game 1, the Pittsburgh Penguins got an overtime goal from Conor Sheary for a 2-1 home win against the San Jose Sharks in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final on Wednesday night at Consol Engery Center in Pittsburgh, and a 2-0 series lead.

First of all, he’s not wrong. There were a few draws from Crosby Wednesday night that were questionable, at least. But superstars and veterans get away with that stuff more often than not. It’s up to Couture and the Sharks to adjust accordingly. I also wouldn’t read too much into that one quote. Surely Couture and the Sharks will find plenty to critique in their own game. But excuses are a sign of seeping frustration, no?

Hockey players probably don’t know that distinction, so when a camera lens popped off and hit the ice, you could no doubt hear that photojournalist scream bloody murder that $2,000 or so just went down the drain.
