You see, he comes from a family of lumberjacks. Sometimes he hallucinates and sees trees everywhere, and his instincts kick in. He must chop.
That's the only (certainly incorrect) explanation I have for whatever happened on the opening faceoff of Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final.
