Remember the dog-buying craze started last year by Bobby Ryan? Where kids would bring signs that said if their favorite players scored, they’d get a dog? It’s time to welcome that phenomenon back into the NHL because it happened again on Wednesday!
A kid will be getting a wiener dog named ‘Hotdog Horvat’ because an NHL player scored
What a name!

Bo Horvat scored a wonderful goal on Mike Smith as the Canucks extended their win streak to five. Thanks to that, a kid is going to get a wiener dog and name him “Hotdog Horvat.”
Of course, the name became a hashtag on Twitter and sparked love from all across the hockey community.
Big night for dogs, honestly.
