Sometimes, you can do everything right and still come away with a loss. This can apply to basically all aspects of life, from your personal life to work, and even to sports.
This poor 16-year-old Finnish goalie lost a hockey game despite making 100 saves
Oh ... oh no!

Juuso Kopra, a 16-year-old goaltender from Finland, found this out the hard way after getting a workout and a half with his under-18 team, the Kisa-Eagles. The Kisa-Eagles are a junior team in Finland’s Jr. B Mestis league, and on Sunday they lost by a score of 5-0 to Porin Ässät.
The score isn’t anything unusual, but looking deeper into the numbers, hockey fans quickly saw that Kopra had faced 105 shots in the game and saved 100 of them, an incredible feat for a kid that just turned 16 six days ago.
Russian Machine Never Breaks broke down the numbers in their blog post of the achievement and found that Kopra has faced 843 shots in 13 games played for the Kisa-Eagles, which has averaged out to 64.8 shots per game.
For comparison, last year Cam Talbot, the NHL’s goaltending leader in saves, faced 2,117 shots in 73 games played, to average 29 shots against per game.
At least Kopra can commiserate with high school goaltender Tony Bruns, who around this time last year saved 98 shots in a game and also lost.
